This last weekend started bright and early as we got up around 4:15 am and headed for the airport. Security, boarding, and the flight were all smooth and it wasn't too much later that we landed in Geneva. We had just enough time to grab a coffee before boarding the train to Interlaken. The swiss train ride was beautiful and in a short 3 hours, we arrived at the Interlaken train station.
We got to our hostel and trained over to Lauterbrunnen where we would hike the Alps. It was not a very intense hike at all and consisted of many photo stops. However, no pictures could ever do this place justice.
After we returned from our hike, We stopped at a brat stand for dinner and then spent the rest of the night just hanging out in Interlaken. Bedtime came relatively early as we had a big day coming up on Saturday.
Saturday morning came quick. It was time to jump out of the plane!! We got ready and grabbed a quick breakfast before meeting the Skydive Switzerland van. Once we were picked up we enjoyed a 25-minute drive to the landing space. During this car ride, we signed our waivers and all were getting slightly nervous about what was to come. Upon our arrival, we were given a jumpsuit and a brief tutorial on how to land and how to tilt our heads back as we fall from the plane. There were around 20 people in our group so the plane took 8 up at a time. My 4 friends and I were in the last group. We watched as the first group went up and came down. OMG, that's high were my exact thoughts. But then we saw them land safely and everyone looked so happy and excited- this was calming to see. Finally, we got harnessed up and met the people we were jumping with. Shoutout Abel for being the best tandem. We loaded the plane and headed up. It was a 15-minute plane ride to get to the jump location. It was beautiful we were able to see the lake, Mount Blanc and the rest of the Alps. Now it's time to jump! You don't get to pick the order you go in - it depends on how you are sat on the plane. For me, this meant I went last. At this point, I was excited and full of adrenaline. The scariest part was watching my friends disappear from the plane. Everything moved so fast that soon enough I was hanging my feet off the edge and tipping my head back. Next thing I know I'm free falling through the Swiss Alps. It was a 45-second free fall. All my fear went away and I was just enjoying the ride. I wish I could do a better job telling you what it was like but it is honestly indescribable. Soon the parachute was pulled and it was a related 6-minute journey to the landing. I even got to steer a little bit and do some spins. Then I landed safely on the ground! This was honestly the most fun, exciting, and cool thing I've done. I also feel lucky I got to do it in one of the prettiest places in the world- would recommend it to anyone. I'll include some pics and text me if you want to see the video lol.

When ten trained to Grindelwald for a little après ski and dinner to finish off our time in Interlaken.
