Separation Anxiety 😦

Tuesday, June 14th, 2022 Katie and I embarked on our World War II adventure with her classmates from Holy Family.  Katie was interested in adventure and time with her friends (and her dad, I think).  I was interested in spending time with Katie and seeing historical places I had only dreamed about.  Our guide service, Education First, had booked us on flights to Toronto and then onto Munich, Germany.  The only problem was we were on 2 different flights out of Minneapolis.

Katie was at the airport at 3:30 AM.  Working her way through security while I blissfully slept. I was up at 6 finished my packing then caught a ride to the airport with 2 of Katie’s friends. An added bonus was the excellent yacht rock play list on the way to the airport.

Group 2 assemble and made it to through security without any hassle.  We donned our mask and took off.

Where is Katie???

Katie was in fact trying to immigrate into Canada.  She and all of group 1 were planning on a city tour of Toronto. However on the way through customs Katie ended up in the wrong line with the wrong customs agent who bullied her into downloading and app (to track her movements) and was generally “mean”.  How many “mean” Canadians do you know? Ryan Renyolds, Corey Hart, Bryan Adam’s all nice maybe Tia Domi mean.  So maybe Tia Domi was Katie’s custom agent.

Katie finally made her Toronto city tour. Below is the only picture I received from the entire tour.

Drake?

My photos are less exciting.

Crazy echo art structure in the airport

The Greatest Backpack of all time!!!!!!!!

Selfie with at least part of the crew.  Katie is stil hiding from immigration.

Ok Canada, the Toronto airport is satisfactory.  Needs more Canadian beers on tap and better salty snacks but your OK.  Now we are off to Munich and a new day awaits

Looking out the plane at sunset.  Not a bad view to finish the day.
