Welcome to New York

Taylor Swift didn't meet us at JFK, but the Anseths were welcomed to New York by Uber and the Marriot Marquis of Time Square.   45 minutes from JFK to Time Square, great night time view of the Empire State Building and the Chrysler building.  If you are over 40 years old you saw this amazing sight it you are 14 and under you saw the warm glow of your iPhone or iTouch.

We dropped our bags in the room, one of us checked the debate and one of us checked the Cubs game.  You can guess who did each.

Out in Time Square we joined the mass of humanity.  I am pretty sure these were the prettiest girls in the theater district.

Let's get this selfie action started

We wandered up and down Broadway for about an hour.  We enjoyed break dancers, a dancing baby, all the Marvel superhero and multiple Statue of Liberties all wanted pictures with us.  We must be kind of a big deal.  Ooohh wait they just want my money.  I also was asked to take some CDs to help a DJ get his start.  He decided that Ashley should be call A-love.

We to get a little food.  The girls stopped at the Hersey store.  Surprise, Suprise.

I looked up the best New York Style pizza near Time Square.  The name that came up repeatedly was Patzeri   Perfect Pizza Pasta and Grill.  Just off Broadway on 46th.  The bright lights of Time Square don't quite make it there but the 🍕 smelled great.  The girls thought the places looked "sketchy" and wanted to leave.  Kari and I convinced them that if you are coming to NYC, you need to get some pizza.

Interestingly, the New York church of Scientology was right next to Patzeria.  We all suddenly felt compelled to watch Tom Cruise movies and John Travolta dance videos.

 

If the girls don't behave on this trip we now have a place to leave them.  

Now it is time for making signs and bed. Tomorrow, who is ready to see Grace, Katie, Kari and maybe Ashley standing outside GMA??
