The crew decided to split up this morning. Wendy, Keith and Marissa decided to go to a Nordic Horse farm? ranch? anyway there were Nordic Horses and they went there.
Grandma Eva, Grace and I were going to the Birksdal Glacier. Our day got off to a slow start. Keith and Wendy somehow disrupted Grandma Eva’s morning flow so she was struggling to get ready for our Glacier excursion.
Grace, Mom and I traveled down to the Disney check-in spot. Here that assign you a number for your excision so they can account and control the flow of passengers. We should up and moved quickly through the line. Too quickly in fact because at one point Grandma Eva was frantically digging through her purse looking for her passport. Finally, we present our passports and were about to be assigned our bus #23 but after a short discussion among Disney workers were assigned to bus #22. This alarmed Grandma Eva and she asked the young lady if were going on a different tour (or a different tour bus). The young lady reassured her it was still the same tour but the panicked Grandma turn away to talk with me. Everything was smoothed over and we were about to proceed into the theater to wait for our group to be called. That is when a nice young lady approached me and asked if Grandma Eva had trouble getting around. I of course said yes!!! We were escorted to the other side of a velvet rope where we waited patiently. Eventually another very nice Disney employee informed us that we could take the elevator down and disembark the ship. Since there was no line for us with our mobility impaired Grandma we walked right if the boat and took our seats at the front of the bus.
Our drive to Birksdal Glacier was beautiful the Olden river runs along the narrow road and is a ridiculous shade of turquoise. The fields were brilliant green and the rocks were dark gray and black. It was truly amazing.
This church has wires running in 4 directions from the steeple because 60 years ago a strong strom lifted it 60 meters of the ground with people in it and nobody wanted that to happen again
River Olden slow here and becomes very wide like a lake. There is a brewery just up the road but I could not redirect the tour. The

A popular spot to propose in Olden.
I should you the above to show you this one. A nice lady was trying to take our picture and was jockeying with Grandma Eva for position to take this photo.
Grandma Eva eventually decide to get in the picture but refuses to look at the camera.
Back on the bus to Birksdal Glacier, we journeyed through some single lane tunnels but at least there were no switch backs
We finally reached Birksdal Glacier. Grandma Eva was going to take a troll car up so she only had to hike the last 1/4 mile and could avoid the steep section. The problem was she need to hang at the Glacier center for 30 minutes before the next set of troll cars went up. This made her very nervous that she might not make it back to the bus and may be forced into a life of slave labor making lefse and lutefisk. Which is not a lot different than most Sept/Oct/Nov as she gets Choteau’s Lutheran Church ready for a Lutefisk dinner.

The water is moving!!!! Can you feel it?
From here Grandma Eva, Grace and I went back to town. Grace took her passport and key and head to the boat. I yelled at her a few time after she passed security. This aroused the attention of a nosy lady who according to Grace repeatedly spoke loudly to her party, “I don’t think kids can just check themselves back on the boat.” They must be able to because Grace did it.
Grandma Eva and I walked 5 minutes down the rode to downtown Olden and walk 5 minutes more to the city limits. We stopped to send a postcard at the post office and then went into some shops.
It was here that Grandma Eva tried to by a book on Norway. It is also the store where she found the perfect Norwegian sweater with regard to color and fit. She got the sweater and a few other Knick Knacks and thanked the 18 year old Norwegian girl behind the register for having this sweater. She was so happy it fit and it made her trip. The 18 year old Norwegian girl was confused because she hadn’t done anything but stand behind the register. Seriously, it is pretty cool to see your mom get that happy and excited about something.
We wander back to the grocery store for some snacks. I finally got a Norwegian beer.
Check the little bear in the pop top
From here it was back on the boat. We sailed out of Olden feeling a little bit more Scandinavian than when we entered.

The food has been great every night. Gracie makes sure we play best parts of your day every night at dinner. We usually do popcorn style occasionally youngest to oldest. Marissa was thankful for the horse farm and getting to ride. Sounded like the Newmans has an amazing time there too.
Tomorrow is our last port in Norway 🇳🇴, Stavager. It is the petroleum capital of 🇳🇴.
Onto Stavanger
A mouse and some chocolate. Bedtime!!!!!
