Boxing Day sucker punch.

Thursday, December 26th, 2019 was Boxing Day in the UK.  For those of us on Celebrity Eclipse it was a relaxing day at sea or was it?

First off EPL breakdown——

Liverpool: appears unstoppable and it would be a monumental collapse for them not to win the title.

Leicester City: are electric with Maddison and Jamie Vardy.  Probably have enough in the tank to finish in the top 4 but not enough to catch Liverpool.

Manchester City: the best team money can buy with the best box to box midfielder in the game.  No defense at this time.  See Boston Red Sox’s 2019

Chelsea: young and crazy like a little kid with firecrackers.  Sometimes awesome and sometimes perplexing.  Do employ Christian Pulisic.  

Tottenham: Kane, Son, Moura and Dele.  Mostly a mess this year but figuring it out under “The Special One.”

Arsenal: dumpster 🔥

Our Boxing Day was spent relaxing on the ship.  The girls played trivia, relaxed in their rooms, in the hot tub or in the sun.

Relaxing has never been so much work.

At 2:30 we enjoyed the matinee performance of Ric Steele.  Some Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell, The Mamas and The Papas and a sweet Elvis medley.  I was actually a really enjoyable 60 min.  Lance still knows all the words to Rhinestone Cowboy.

Several people enjoyed a relaxing massage in the spa.  I was not one of them.  My massage therapist seemed very nice.  Once I closed my eyes to relax, she must have turned  into some form of Tasmania Devil.  Her main massage move was to dig her elbows into my neck and then swirl her elbows around my shoulder blades (scapulas) as fast as she could.  Needless to say this did not enhance my calm very much.  Then she pressured me to sign up for more massages with her.  Agggggghhhhhhh........Let me be woman...Let me be.  I finally escaped and was reunited with the family.  Lara was heading to guest service again (10x) so I went along and voiced my dissatisfaction.  We will have to see how the spa works out the rest of this trip.
