I tolerate LAX

March 22nd 2018, we embarked on our spring break trip to French Polynesia 🇵🇫.  Tahiti, Bora Bora and Moorea would be our final destination but to get there we would have to go through LAX.

I got home from work at 1PM and hurriedly packed.  Kari had packed her stuff, help packed the girls stuff, run a coupl of errands, arranged care for Molly 🐶 and ordered an Uber.   The Uber picked us up and wisked us off to MSP.  We had a smooth time through security.  This left us a little time to enjoy Dunkin Donuts and a couple of ice cold 🍺.  On the ✈️ and off to LAX.

We landed at terminal 2, grabbed the bags from Delta and headed to Tom Bradley International terminal.  Grace was a little nervous we wouldn’t survive the walk.  I was just thankful that TMZ was not there to harass me (and the family).

We survived the walk.

At the international terminal we checked into TahitiNui Air.  No issue everything went very smoothly.  Katie even discovered that LATAM flys people safely to LA. (See previous blogs)

We checked in through international terminal security and then it happened.  Grace’s backpack was inspected by TSA.  She was very nervous given her known criminal record of assault against her sisters and money laundering.   She knew the jig was up so she started crying even before the TSA agent began digging through her backpack.

Then the TSA agent discovered Grace was trying to smuggle a deadly weapon into our Tahiti flight unbeknownst to her law abiding parents.  2 inch school scissors were stashed in the pencil bag.  The thought about the possibility of airport jail time or being placed on the no fly list and began crying but was also enraged that she was caught.

This is the only photo witness could capture at the crime scene.

After that we enjoyed a little snack and watched Kansas State destroy the final remnants of my bracket.

This crew is just hanging on.

After that it was 2-3 hours in a holding area until we could take a shuttle to our plane and finally depart for Tahiti.  We all made it on the plane.  We all took a couple of melatonin and it was off to sleep.  When we wake up in 6-8 hours we will be close to landing in Tahiti.

We landed. Tropical paradise!!!

I have arrived Tahiti be prepared!!!
