Inside Chelsea Market
Pretty calm at 9 AM, not so much at noon
Inside the market is funky.
After the Market, we walked the NYC high line. It was an elevated train platform use to transport goods especially meat from the docks to the Meat Packing district. Initially the tracks run in the street but to many people were killed by them so the tracks were elevated. Eventually the tracks were abandoned around 1980. Eventually seeds blew in from Jersey and wild flowers and plants started to grow. Eventually NYC decided to repurpose the High Line as a green space.

The High Line goes on for around 1.5 miles
There is a hotel down in this part of town know to be a hot spot for exorbist. You can see clearly in all the window and some are willing to put on a show according to our guide. Our trip was very G rated.

After our walking tour, we grabbed a late lunch at this great Mexican restaurant. The guacamole was awesome but the service was slow.
Kari and I headed back to the hotel to get ready to go to Jimmy Fallon. We decided to take a pedal cab from our hotel to 30 Rock which was a great idea in theory until we had to pay the fare.
The most expensive ride ever.
Time Square from a pedal cab 💵
We reached 30 Rock in one piece but significantly lighter in the wallet. Now it was time for the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. I won “VIP” for tickets at a silent auction around the Super Bowl . What unique experience would we have? What secrets would we learn? The secret is I am a sucker. VIP tickets are no different then regular tickets you can wait in line for and get for free.
Inside 30 Rock about to ascend the Grand Staircase to see Jimmy Fallon.
No picture from this point on. In order to see Fallon, you stand in line and then you move a little and then you stand in line some more. Eventually there is a cool lounge for everyone to sit in and not take pictures in. Then there is more waiting in line, then an elevator and eventually you get into the studio.
We had seats about 5 rows up on the left side looking straight at the desk. The Roots came out and rocked. A producer from the show comes out to warm up the crowd and then bam the show starts.
Chrissy Tiegen was the main guest. She played a new game called Loaded Questions. A provacative question is written on the bottom of a coaster. You read the question to yourself then give the answer out loud. At that point you can either tell everyone the question or do a shot. Seems like a Game from the Johnson’s basement.
Chrissy has also written a cookbook. During the show she and Jimmy took a Party Melt sandwich out into the crowd. I was overcome with several emotions. One, be cool you might actually be on TV. Two, WOW Chrissy Teigen’s legs are amazing. Three, horror, please for the love of god do not let Chrissy Tiegen offer me a Patty Melt that 4 strangers have already eaten.
Dear Lord don’t let Chrissy Tiegen give me that sandwich or where do I put my hands
After the show
Radio City Music Hall at night
After the show we grabbed a late dinner, walked backed to he hotel and went to bed. Tomorrow we will probably go on a walk.
