We finally left these guys in peace and then ran right into a herd of cape buffaloes. It is amazing who 30+ Cape Buffalo can just appear out of the bush.
The buffalo didn't stick around too long because these guys showed up.
Actually, it was this crew that ran off the buffalo.
After this we returned to the resort for breakfast, a rest and a massage.
The massage took place on the deck of our cabin. Kari and I were enjoying a relaxing massage. We could here some elephants near by then it happened. My masseuse ask me if I want to go inside. I was confused by this. Do I look like that type of guy, where was my wife? Then she ask me to look up as the elephant took down a branch about 4 ft away. My masseuse the told me to lay still jumped of the deck and yelled "SHOO" she then picked up a rock and whipped it side arm at the elephant. The elephant took off and I went back to my massage. How much do you tip someone for preventing an elephant attack???
The afternoon safari was a quest for the elusive leopard. We took off early to get a head start.
Along the way we saw:
Our ranger and tracker hopped out go go track the leopard, while we waited in the safety of the truck.
Here is Kari in charge.
Our ranger and tracker couldn't find the leopard, but UBS was able to call TB in the middle of the bush on his Swiss army IPhone. Only TB would have cell signal in the Africa bush.
On the way back we ran into a lioness enjoying some tasty zebra.
We stopped for some Sundowner beers but a storm cut us short. The ride home was a bit wet and windy.
The storm is coming but we aren't done with our beers
Dinner was Sprinbok and a chocolate mousse. Then it was bed, sort of.
