Katie and I got up at like 6 AM and we literally 2 of the first 10 people of the boat. We were fired up for some Salmon fishing. We waited patiently for 10 minutes, then our guide showed up and told us nobody was going out too windy, too choppy, too dangerous. We wandered the streets aimlessly until we found a local diner for some breakfast. Clearly an establishment visited mostly by locals, Katie learned a few new words from some of the guys eating breakfast.
Bumming about not fishing
We decide to join the rest of the crew on a crab boat tour. Great fun, great stories the Captain was on Deadliest Catch. Crazy stories about how the boat almost sank when it was used for crabbing and how the guys doing the show almost died. Made it hard to complain about sticking me in the seat that was continually drenched on the cruise out.
